Western Central Atlantic: South Carolina, USA and Bahamas to Venezuela; also from some islands in the Caribbean like Saint Lucia (Ref. 9626). Eastern Central Atlantic: Senegal to Angola (Ref. 6945); reported from Mauritania (Ref. 55783).
