背棘 (總數): 11; 背的軟條 (總數): 14-15; 臀棘 4; 臀鰭軟條: 11 - 13. Deep orange with white-tipped dorsal fin spines and dusky caudal fin tips. Small rare species, but easily mistaken for Myripristis vittata (Ref. 48635).
深的橘色有尖端白色的背鰭棘與暗色的尾鰭頂端。 小的稀有種, 但是容易地被誤認為 Myripristis vittata.(參考文獻 48635)
Swims in small aggregations in current prone channels, at moderate depths (Ref. 48635). Poorly known species on outer reef slopes in 3-50 m (Ref 90102).
