পৃষ্ঠীয় নরম পাখনা দন্ড (মোট ): 21; পায়ূর নরম পাখনা্তুন্ড: 3. Total rings 52-56, total subdorsal rings 6.25-6.75, dorsum of snout without bilateral patches of spinules (Ref. 35628). Anal fin minute (Ref. 35628).

Presumed to favor depths greater than 30-40 m (Ref. 35628). Ovoviviparous (Ref. 205). The male carries the eggs in a brood pouch which is found under the tail (Ref. 205).
