Etymology: Anthias: Greek, anthias, oy = a fish (Sparus aurata) (Ref. 45335); noeli: Named for Noel Archambault.
Eponymy: Noel Archambault (d: 1998) was a Canadian IMAX cameraman who died in an aircraft crash in the Galapagos islands, where the jewelfish is found. Among his film credits is: Into The Deep (1994). (Ref. 128868), visit book page.
