Etymology: Ompok: It is a bad reproduction of a Malayam fish name as limpok/ompok (Ref. 45335).

Issue
Species inquirenda in Siluridae according to Ferraris (2007: Ref. 58032). This species has no status in Eschmeyer (CofF ver. Jul. 2010: Ref. 84883). Please send references, or more studies are needed.
