Comments: Ranges from Maroochydore, southern Queensland and Shark Bay, Western Australia to off southern Australia (Ref. 6871). Records from northwestern Australia appear to be misidentifications of Himantura fai (Ref. 6871). Adults are commonly found off beaches and in lower estuaries of southern Australia during summer and autumn (Ref. 6871). Also Ref. 5578, 7300, 9258, 26346, 33390, 89422.
