Morphologie | Morphométrie
Épines dorsales (Total): 1; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total): 7; Épines anales 0; Rayons mous anaux: 13. Diagnosis: gill slits not extending ventrally beyond pectoral-fin insertions; snout pointed, over 65% of head length; post-orbital length at most 60% of snout length; maxillary barbels not fringed or very slightly fringed at base, shorter than head, unbranched and without tubercles or distinct basal membrane; outer mandibular barbels with simple ramifications; branches of inner mandibular barbels subdivided; mandibular teeth rather long, numbering 30; dorsal-fin spine smooth anteriorly; denticulation on pectoral-fin spines rather fine; humeral process triangular, pointed and not keeled ventrally; adipose fin small and very far from rayed dorsal fin (Ref. 57223).
Coloration: skin of the only preserved and known (stuffed) specimen brownish, with numerous small black spots on sides and adipose fin (Ref. 57223).
Maximum TL was recorded at 70.0 cm (Ref. 7362, 57223). Oviparous (Ref. 205).
