Young with a large elliptical black spot basally and below posterior half of the soft part of dorsal fin, extending onto anterior part of the caudal peduncle, followed by a bright white spot. Moderately-deep body, 2.1-2.35 in SL. Tubed lateral line scales, 19-21, but usually 20 (Ref. 33558).
