เงี่ยงครีบหลัง (รวม): 10 - 11; ก้านครีบอ่อนที่หาง (รวม): 23-27; เงี่ยงครีบก้น 2; ก้านครีบอ่อนที่ก้น: 10 - 11. Silvery, blue gray above, with dark dots on scales; tips of chin dusky; lining of opercle dusky; fins yellowish (Ref. 11482).

Adults inhabit coastal waters (Ref. 9118). Juveniles found near river mouths (Ref. 9118).
