Taxonomic Remarks Symphysodon haraldi Schultz, 1960 is considered as valid in CofF ver. June 2011 according to Bleher et al., 2007 (Ref. 91099) and Bleher, 2011(Ref. 91101).
South America: eastern Amazon River, lower reaches of Amazon River and affluents east of the confluence of the Negro and Solimões Rivers.
