Rückenflossenstacheln (insgesamt): 10 - 11; Rückenflossenweichstrahlen (insgesamt): 23-27; Afterflossenstacheln 2; Afterflossenweichstrahlen: 10 - 11. Silvery, blue gray above, with dark dots on scales; tips of chin dusky; lining of opercle dusky; fins yellowish (Ref. 11482).

Adults inhabit coastal waters (Ref. 9118). Juveniles found near river mouths (Ref. 9118).
