خارهاي باله پشتي (کل) : 7; شعاع نرم باله پشتي (کل) : 9; خارهاي باله مخرجي: 2; شعاع نرم باله مخرجي: 8. Semi-transparent and reddish in color.

Occurs in sheltered reef flats, lagoon and seaward reefs to a depth of 17 m or more. Feeds on small benthic crustaceans at night; cryptic under rocks or deep holes by day.
