Espinas dorsales (total): 1; Radios blandos dorsales (total): 11; Espinas anales 1; Radios blandos anales: 11; Vértebra: 37. This species is distinguished from all its congeners by the following set of characters: D1 absent; D2 I/11; A I/11; pectoral fin rays modally 16 and with one upper, very short free soft ray; vertebral count 16 + 21 = 37; head and body with many rounded light creamy white spots above creamy yellow background (Ref. 86740).
