পৃষ্ঠীয় কাঁটা (মোট ): 1; পৃষ্ঠীয় নরম পাখনা দন্ড (মোট ): 7; পায়ূ কাঁটা 1; পায়ূর নরম পাখনা্তুন্ড: 4. Elongate odontode on cheek 40-60. No dark spots on the ventral surface of head and body. Fins and lateral and dorsal plates of head and body with numerous dark dots. First anal-fin pterygiophore greatly expanded and exposed. Eyes large, dorsoventrally placed. Lips well-developed, occupying most of ventral surface; lower lip mostly covered with papillae, except for a smooth band near border of lips. Caudal fin I, 14, I; slightly concave, upper lobe shorter than lower lobe (Ref. 49598).
