Found only in rocky shores. Inhabits mainly steeply sloping large boulder shores but is also found on gently sloping shores if the boulder size is large enough to provide interstices. Adults forage in shoals, mixed with other species. Omnivorous, feeding on algae, Bryozoans, insect larvae, plankton, prawns and juvenile fishes (Ref. 27668).
发现只在岩岸中。 主要栖息于险峻倾斜大的大圆石海岸但是如果大圆石大小够大来提供空隙的时候也被发现于缓斜坡的海岸。 成鱼在被混和着其他的种的浅滩中觅食。 杂食性, 吃藻类，苔藓虫类，昆虫幼生，浮游生物，虾与幼年的鱼。 (参考文献 27668)
