Etymology: Moxostoma: Greek, myxo = to suckle + Greek, stoma = mouth (Ref. 45335);  anisurum: From the words aniso, meaning unequal; and urum, tail (referring to the asymmetry of the caudal fin lobes) (Ref. 10294).
