Comments: Ranges from Washington to southern California. Occurs in Monterey Bay (Ref. 12091). Specimens at the aquarium exhibit of the Monterey Bay Aquarium were taken from Hombolt Bay, northern California (Ref. 12091). Small scale commercial fishery exists in California (Ref. 6871). Also Ref. 4925, 9987.
