Comments: Ranges from Natal to Algoa Bay (common off Natal; found in the eastern Cape during the summer). Caught in Natal shark nets. Occasionally caught by rock and surf anglers especially at Richards Bay (Ref. 12484). Angling record 150 kg (Ref. 12484). Also Ref. 244, 5485.
