Comments: Known from Solsona, Batac, Laoag, Bacarra and Dingras (Ref. 2853). Museum: Solsona, Ilocos Norte, Luzon, creek and rice fields, Fish and Game Administration collection No. 41062 (holotype, 3 cm; 29 cotypes, 2.4-3 cm). Some specimens were sent to Stanford University, California. Also Ref. 12591, 12738, 27139. Endemic status computed from FishBase data (country records, occurrences records in literature and in point data) on 16/07/08.

Short description Morfologia | Morfometria

Spine dorsali (totale): 0; Raggi dorsali molli (totale): 5-7; Spine anali 0; Raggi anali molli: 15 - 18. Color in life gray, yellow sheen above and a silvery luster along the sides; dusky stripe from upper angle of opercle to caudal base. Body laterally compressed.

Non-annual breeder. Is difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
