Raggi dorsali molli (totale) : 67 - 76; Raggi anali molli: 52 - 59; Vertebre: 38 - 39. Upper jaw reaching to below anterior quarter of lower eye, length 2.8 to 3.3 times in head length. Head length 4.4 to 5.2 times in SL (Ref 12933).

Feeds on small benthic animals.
