पृष्ठीय रीढ़ (सम्पूर्ण): 0; पृष्ठीय सौफट रेज़ (सम्पूर्ण): 0; गुदा कांटा 0; ऐनल सौफट रेज़: 0; जानवरों की रीड़ का जोड़: 121 - 132. Presence of a row of irregular or stellate pale spots which tend to be larger than those of A. cantonensis.

Common among rubble, coralline algal debris, and coral heads of shallow wave-washed reefs (Ref. 1602, 58302). Benthic (Ref. 58302, 75154). Often found in tide pools. Sluggish eel (Ref. 1623), but may bite when provoked (Ref. 2334).
