Comments: Known from the southern Congo River basin (Ref. 120641) in the Luachimo River (Kasai River drainage, middle Congo River basin) (Ref. 3236, 11970, 51287, 78218, 86935). Type locality of the holotype of Leptoglanis dorae: 'rapides de la Luachimo, dans des flaques d'eau résiduelle, à l'occasion de la mise à sec de la partie d'aval du barrage' (Ref. 11970).

जानवरों की रीड़ का जोड़: 37. Diagnosis: Zaireichthys dorae differs from all the other species of Zaireichthys in the relatively posterior position of the dorsal fin, which is 1.4 times further from the base of the caudal fin than from the snout, compared with 1.5-1.9 in Z. lacustris and 1.7-2.4 in all other species (Ref. 86935).

Occurs over fine sand, lying buried with only its eyes protruding (Ref. 7248).
