Type locality, Chalakudy River, 26 km upstream of Chalakudy town, near Vettilappara, Kerala (Ref. 26282). Critically endangered (Ref. 45212). Also Ref. 31807, 41236, 43640, 43641, 79567. Status of threat: Critically endangered (Ref. 50614).
