背棘 (總數): 3; 背的軟條 (總數): 9-13; 臀棘 2; 臀鰭軟條: 6. Moderate deep bodied, no bands or spots, 2 pairs of barbels, upper jaw longer, pre-dorsal scales 12; dorsal fin inserted equidistant between tip of snout and base of caudal fin.
中等的深地身體, 沒有條紋或斑點， 2 對觸鬚, 上頜更長的, 前背部的鱗片 12; 背鰭插入距離相等的在吻尖與尾鰭基底之間。
Occurs in deep large rivers in upland regions (Ref. 41236). Adults prefer deep rocky pools, mostly hide under bedrocks and boulders; while juveniles prefer pools and riffles (Ref. 43631, 44151). Feed on allochthonous plant materials and debris (Ref. 44151). Breed after the monsoon, when river gets stabilized; fries available during February and March (Ref. 44151).
