Morphologie | Morphométrie
Épines dorsales (Total): 2; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total): 6. Diagnosis: mouth large, rectangular-shaped, width greater than snout length; snout rounded, shorter than mouth width; premaxillary toothband wide, 27-40% HL; occipital process is well-developed; adipose fin large, base contained 5-8 times in SL and measuring 56-100% of the distance between dorsal and adipose fins; maxillary barbel extremely long, extending beyond dorsal spine and, in some individuals, even beyond end of dorsal fin (Ref. 81642).
