পৃষ্ঠীয় কাঁটা (মোট ): 1; পৃষ্ঠীয় নরম পাখনা দন্ড (মোট ): 5-7; পায়ূ কাঁটা 0; পায়ূর নরম পাখনা্তুন্ড: 18 - 20. Body elongated, anteriorly depressed, posteriorly compressed. Four pairs of mouth barbels present. No scales on body. Pectoral and dorsal fins enlarged and spinous. Posterior margin of caudal fin deeply notched.
