Etymology: Trimma: Greek, trimma, -atos = something crushed (Ref. 45335).
Eponymy: Peter Winch was the owner and captain of the ketch ‘Paille-en-Queue II’; it and he spent nine months ferrying equipment, supplies, and expedition members around the Chagos Archipelago, and, as the etymology points out “…without whom the expedition [...] (Ref. 128868), visit book page.
