Dorsal spines (total): 15 - 16; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8 - 9; Anal spines: 3; Anal soft rays: 5; Vertebrae: 28. No spines on the lateral surface of the lachrymal nor on the lateral surface of the first suborbital bone (Ref. 41496). Dorsal fin originates above middle of eye; no distinctively elongated spine; membranes of spinous portion incised for about 1/4 of spine length (Ref. 35987).
