Etymology: Acestrorhynchus: Greek, agkistron = hook + Greek, rhyngchos = snout (Ref. 45335).
Eponymy: Mrs Isaline Drecq was the wife of Guy van den Bossche, who was a member of the expedition to Brazil during which the holotype was collected. At the time of the description, she was referred to as ‘the late’ Mrs. Isaline Drecq. (Ref. 128868), visit book page.
