Body shape (shape guide): fusiform / normal.

Inhabits rainforest streams with thick vegetative cover (Ref. 2847). An omnivorous egg layer and peaceful community fish which prefers the following aquarium conditions: pH=7.6, H=14, 25°C water temperature (Ref. 6398).
