Etymology: Cercamia: Greek, kerkos = tail + Greek, amia = a kind of fish (Ref. 45335); laamu: Name Laamu, in the Dhivehi language, is one of the islands making up the Hadhdhunmathee (Haddhunmathi) Atoll where the holotype was collected; noun in apposition.
