Vertebrae 10 + 22.  LL, without scales but with scalelike flaps; LL tubes 0-4, canal ends on caudal-fin base.  Lower lip crenulated mesially, plicate laterally.  Upper lip crenulae 48-53.  Cephalic pore system complex; midsnout pores present.  Cirri, supraorbital 11-12, nasal 10-17; nuchal 40-44, in 2 groups.  Overall brown, eye with white spot below and black spot behind, body with broad irregular bars pale grey or brown, and brown spots posteriorly (Ref. 529, 90102).
