Chrosomus saylori resembles C. erythrogaster but differs from this species by having S-shaped gut (vs. double-looped) and black on underside of head in breeding males (Ref. 86798).
Inhabits rocky pools of headwaters and creeks, usually along undercut banks or around large rocks (Ref. 86798).
