Dorsal spines (total): 4 - 5; Dorsal soft rays (total): 34 - 37; Anal soft rays: 33 - 35. Body with two series of large, partly confluent, irregular blackish spots, cheek with two oblique dark stripes, a blackish spot on spinous dorsal (Ref. 11892).
Body shape (shape guide): fusiform / normal.
Spawns in May-June, sometimes to July. Egg diameter greater than 1.65 mm (Ref. 45488).
