Description: Characterized by blue or bluish green on back and silvery below; 108-120 predorsal scales; elongate and rounded in cross section, body; jaws extremely elongate and studded with fine teeth, longer lower jaw than upper; presence of gill rakers; caudal peduncle greatly flattened dorsoventrally with large lateral keels; slightly emarginate caudal fin (Ref. 90102).
