Diagnosis

Translucent greyish with irregular dark bars/saddles on back and side. Male with large black spot covering pectoral-fin base and black "mask" covering most of head and breast. Female with oblique black bands on anal fin. Head, chest, and pectoral-fin base scaleless; short, lobate orbital tentacle; mandibular pores 3 + 1 + 3. Maximum size to 3.1 cm TL (Ref. 90102).
