Diagnosis

Diagnosis: mouth strongly curved and crescentic; single pair of barbels; last unbranched dorsal fin ray weakly ossified and flexible; pelvic fin inserts below middle of dorsal fin; 26 scales in lateral line (Ref. 81639).

Description: body depth 30.2-34.9% SL; head length 24.4-27.4% SL; no papillae around mouth but with conical keratinized tubercles on snout; D: IV,10; A: III,5; scale formula: 4.5-5.5/26/-; 2.5-3.5; 12; 2.5-3.5 scales from lateral line to anal fin origin (Ref. 81639).

Coloration: alcohol-preserved specimens are uniformly light brown (Ref. 81639).
