Found in southern Baja California (Ref. 96339). Of secondary importance to the Mexican shark fisheries; a very common catch in Tamaulipas, Veracruz, Campeche, Yucatan and Quintana Roo (mostly pre-adults and adults); probably caught in Tabasco (Ref. 13186). Newborn are also common in Quintana Roo catches (Ref. 13186).
