Considered extirpated in the Wadden Sea between Germany and the Netherlands (Ref. 88833, 88834). Also Ref. 244, 88187. Since 1971 DATRAS reported catches of 108 individuals out of 6,113 hauls and 0 individuals out of 2,360 hauls taken in or near the German EEZ of the North and Baltic Seas, respectively (Ref. 88760). Human activities in the German North and Baltic seas that might affect small-spotted catsharks: fisheries, offshore installations, sediment removal, construction of cables and pipelines, channel deepening, technical installations and eutrophication (Ref. 88171). |
