Known from the floodplains of middle São Francisco and two main tributaries (Correntes and Verde), between Boa Vista do Lagamar (Bahia) and São Francisco (Minas Gerais) (Ref. 49550). Intensive collecting efforts in May 2009 found a single specimen in a second locality, about 35 km N distant from the first one, about 1.5 km from the São Francisco River bank (Ref. 89836). |
