Type locality, Mato Grosso do Sul: Rio Paraná, at Ilha Solteira dam, cofferdam at right margin of river, MZUSP 52923 (holotype of Sternarchorhynchus britskii, 27.2 cm TL). Known only from the upper portion of Río Paraná basin in the states of Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, and São Paulo (Ref. 84053). Also Ref. 36886. |
