Occurs in the northeast quarter (Ref. 30578, 556 as Rhodeus sericeus ). Found in northern Rhône; invasive in southern Rhône and west Seine (Ref. 59043). Vulnerable (Ref. 11941). Its biotope has to be protected ("arrêté du 8-12-1988). In "Annexe II de la Directive Habitats-Faune-Flore" and in "Annexe III de la Convention de Berne" (Ref. 40476).

Status of threat: Vulnerable (Ref. 11941, 30578, 74334).
