Was introduced in Russia for rearing in aquaria and escaped into natural bodies of water. The feral populations of this species exist permanently in the Moskva River near the thermal water discharges and at other localities (Ref. 26334). Populations have at least temporarily established in warm effluents of power plants (Ref. 59043). Estashed locally (Ref. 45022). EurRus
