Present in the Mezen Bay, from which it enters the Mgla river. Enters the rivers of Kolguev I. Known from the Gulf of Ob, the Yenisei, Pyasina, Taimyr, Khatanga and Lena rivers (Ref. 593). Known from the Lake Frolikha and mountain Lakes in the basins of the rivers Kuanda and Chara in Transbaikalia (Ref. 26334). Absent in rivers draining to Baltic and White Seas (Ref. 59043). Commercially caught in Siberia (Ref. 27547). Also Ref. 96339, 123027.
