Reported to be extinct in the wild in 2000 (Ref. 41386); criteria not determined in Ref. 52149. Started in 1998, the drainage area fo the lower reaches of the River Labe (the rivers Kamenice and Ofře) was stocked with the juveniles of this species. In the autumn of 2002, 4 salmon, 3+ years of age, were caught in the lower section of the River Kamenice which suggest a possible renewed occurrence of this species in the drainage area of the lower reaches of Labe (Benda 2003 and Dusek et al. 2003 in Ref. 52149). Status of threat: Critically endangered A (1), B (2-a,c) (Ref. 89840).
