Known from Lake Victoria drainage (Ref. 52331), Lake Kanyaboli (Ref. 52331), Lake Turkana drainage (Ref. 52331, 52871), Suguta River (Ref. 52331, 52871), Lake Bogoria drainage (Ref. 52331, 52871), Waseges River (Ref. 52871), Lake Baringo drainage (Ref. 52331, 52871), Northern Ewaso Nyiro River (Ref. 52331), Southern Ewaso Nyiro River (Ref. 52331), Dawa River of the Juba system (Ref. 52331) and the eastward flowing river basins like Tana River (Ref. 13332, 52331) and Athi-Galana-Sabaki drainage system (Ref. 30558, 52331). Copley (1941) (=Ref. 41374) erroneously reported it from Lake Victoria as Clarias anguillaris , a misidentification (Ref. 52331). Also Ref. 97924.
