Comments

Occurs in Gandaki, Koshi, Karnali rivers (Ref. 6351), Sunkoshi, Khimti, Jimruk, Rapti, Babai, Chamelia and Mahakali rivers (Ref. 85009). Inhabits mountain rivers and creeks, preferring rocky gravel bed and pool of streams (Ref. 57735). Used as ornamental fish by Buddhists (Ref. 12045). Also Ref. 4832, 41236.

Status of Threat: Data deficient pristine rare ornamental species (Ref. 85009).
