Found in the Iberian Peninsula (Ref. 119049). Known from Guadalquivir, Guadiana and Mira basins and also basins of the Rivers Sado and Tejo (Ref. 11237). Minimum capture size: 8-12 cm TL (Ref. 119049). Also Ref. 26100, 28035.

Status of threat: Endangered (Ref. 119049).
