Marketed fresh (whole), frozen (treaded, steaks, sliced), or canned (in oil or water). The following restrictions apply to the eastern Pacific fishery for fishing vessels >363 MTcapacity: 1) a SEPESCA-authorized observer, 2) net and fishing gear verification certificate, 3) submission of a Dolphin Incidental Mortality Program to SEPESCA, and 4) Dolphin release and protection performance within the limits determined by SEPESCA. Nocturnal fishing operations on dolphin-associated tuna and use of explosives are prohibited. No restrictions for the Gulf of Mexico. (Ref. 26550). |
