Occurs everywhere in the southern seas and rivers flowing into them (Don, Kuban, rivers of the Caucasian coast of the Black Sea, the Volga and the Moskva River), in estuaries with low salinities and in some reservoirs (Ref. 26334). This has been translocated to areas within the country, rapidly expanded its range and is now widely established in the country (Ref. 45022). Said to have been introduced (Ref. 13686). EurRus
